England defeated Sri Lanka by 26 runs in the ICC T20 World Cup 2021 match on Monday (November 1), thanks to a brilliant performance by wicketkeeper-batsman Jos Buttler. Butler played an unbeaten 101 not out in 67 balls with the help of six fours and six sixes. Apart from this, did a great runout in the fielding.

Chris Jordan, who came during the 18th over during the Sri Lankan innings, bowled the second ball of the over at a speed of 141 kmph, which was played by Sri Lankan captain Dashun Shanaka to the right of wicketkeeper Butler.

Buttler, showing quickness like a leopard, caught the ball and scattered the stumps straight. It all happened so fast that Shanaka didn’t get a chance to come back to the crease. The players of the England team were stunned to see this feat of Butler.

Let us tell you that with the century scored in this match, Butler also made some special records in his name. He is the first player to score a century for England in all three formats. Apart from this, he has become the first player from England to score 2000 or more runs in all three formats.

Electing to bat first, England team scored 163 runs for the loss of 4 wickets. In reply, Sri Lanka were all out for 137 runs in 19 overs. This is England’s fourth consecutive win in the Super 12 round.
