England’s all-rounder Ben Stokes has suffered his mistake. He has been fined by the ICC for using foul language against a fan while returning after being dismissed in South Africa vs England.

The ICC said, “Stokes has been found guilty of violating Code of Conduct Article 2.3 of ICC players, which relates to ‘using abusive language during international matches”.

The ICC further said, “Also a demerit point has been added to Stokes ‘discipline record. This is Stokes’ first mistake in the last 24 months.”

Stokes used foul language against a fan after being dismissed on a two-run personal score at the hands of Anrich Nortje on Friday, the first day of the fourth and final Test against South Africa at Wanderers Stadium. Was recorded in Later it was shared on social media.

Stokes later apologized on social media for his behaviour. The ICC said that Stokes has accepted the sentence proposed by match referee Andy Pycroft and no formal hearing is required.
