Andre Dwayne Russell was born on 29 April 1988 in Kingston, Jamaica. He is a Jamaican professional cricketer who plays internationally for the West Indies and Jamaica indomestic cricket as an all-rounder. Russell has featured in more than 300 Twenty20 games for a range of teams in leagues worldwide. The all-rounder is widely regarded as one of the greatest T20 players of all time. More than for the national side, Russell built his name playing for different franchises all around the globe. His brilliant batting and ability to demolish any bowling attack made him one of the most feared batsmen in the cricketing world.

Andre Russell made his international debut during a test match against Sri Lanka in November 2010. His biography portrays that he has played a total of 56 ODIs where he has amassed 1034 runs, including 94 boundaries and 57 sixes which show the level of impact he brings to the game. He has also scalped 70 wickets with the best figures of 4/35. In the T20Is, he has played 49 games for Windies, where he has scored 540 runs, including 32 boundaries and 42s sixes. This adds up to 380 runs in the shortest format of the game.
