Former Pakistan all-rounder and captain had missed the flight for Sri lanka which means, he might have to miss the opening encounters of Galle Gladiators. Afridi will be leading Galle Gladiators in the LPL 2020.
Afridi made a tweet that read, “Missed my flight to Colombo today morning đŸ˜•
Nothing to worry, I’ll be reaching soon to take part in the LPL for Galle Gladiators. Look forward to joining my teammates”

Lasith Malinga, who had originally been slated to captain the side, had withdrawn from the tournament. Bhanuka Rajapaksa is likely to lead Gladiators before Afridi joins the team.
The LPL is set to begin the day before Gladiators’ first match, on November 26. All matches will be played in Sooriyawewa stadium, near Hambantota.
