Former India captain MS Dhoni has left a legacy behind him after the wicket-keeper batsman hung his boots from international cricket on Saturday. Dhoni announced the news in an Instagram post. While he has retired from international cricket, Dhoni still holds a number of records in limited-overs cricket.

MS Dhoni is the only captain in the world to have won all the three ICC trophies. He led India to World T20 in 2007, 50-over World Cup in 2011 and Champions Trophy 2013.

MS Dhoni has won the most number of finals as a captain. He has led the Indian team six times in a final and has clinched the victory in four of them.

MS Dhoni has led India in 332 international matches- 200 ODIs, 60 Tests and 72 T20Is. Former Australian skipper Ricky Ponting has captained in 324 international matches.
