Former India all-rounder Yuvraj Singh has apologised for making castiest remarks on leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal. Yuvraj had called Chahal “Bhangi” while talking to Rohit Sharma in an Instagram Live chat session.

Later a Police complaint was filed against him by Dalit rights activist and advocate Rajat Kalsan in Hansi in Hisar, Haryana.

After Yuvraj used the castiest remark, in no time, a trend ‘युवराजसिंहमाफी_मांगो’ was on Twitter.

The former India player who was a aprt of the team that lifted the ICC World Cup in 2011 took to social media and made the apologies.

“I understand that while I was having a conversation with my friends, I was misunderstood, which was unwarranted,” he wrote.

This was not the first time that Yuvraj had got himself in a controversy. He faced a lot of criticism on social media after urging the people for making donations for Shahid Afridi’s foundation.

Yuvraj has also been vocal about the culture in the Indian dressing room since his retirement. He made a shocking statement about not getting enough support from Virat Kohli and MS Dhoni while playing for the country and also went on to say that Suresh Raina was Dhoni’s favourite cricketer in the side.
