Punjab and Kolkata Knight Riders batsman Shubman Gill is considered to be someone who has a bright career. He has already represented India at the top level while has become a mainstay in the KKR line up. Gill’s talent unfolded during the 2018 U19 World Cup that the team won under the captaincy of Prithvi Shaw.

But sledging is something that exists in every sport and cricket is no different. Gill revealed a similar incident that took place with him during his first Ranji season.

“I tried to hit Hardik on the up and the ball went straight to the fielder. Then he kept saying, ‘Ae chal na maar na! Chal na ye 19 nahi hai ye. Chal na maar na’ (Come on hit me, this is not Under-19 cricket, hit me!),” Gill said in the video posted by KKR.

Hardik has been a consistent performer for India and the Mumbai Indians franchise side in the IPL. The Indian Premier League was earlier postponed for an indefinite time after the COVID-19 outburst.

Pandya had been out of the Indian team after undergoing surgery. He missed out on the tour to New Zealand where India won the T20Is but lost the ODIs and Tests.

Shubman on the other hand has played two ODIs for where has scored 16 runs.
