India wicket-keeper batsman Rishabh Pant has certainly gone out of the equation after some brilliant performances by KL Rahul both with the gloves behind the wicket and with the bat as well.
But Pant has certainly got the back of former India opener Virender Sehwag after the latter said that it’s wrong if the team management isn’t giving a clear message to Pant.
Sehwag went on to compare the situation when he was playing under MS Dhoni. The senior players then had found out from the media that the skipper thought they were “slow fielders”.
“It might happen (they playing together, but) it would affect our fielding in a big way,” Dhoni had said publicly back then.
Pant has been out of contention for quite some time. Rahul has been doing the wicket-keeper’s job while Sanju Samson got a chance to play at the top after he replaced Rohit Sharma who was rested in the fourth T20I match against New Zealand.
