The win has taken Pakistan in the top four while Afghanistan are still win-less in the competition. Earlier, Afghanistan rode on Asghar Afghan’s brisk 35-ball 42 to manage a total of 227/9 in 50 overs. Shaheen Afridi continued with his form and scalped a four-wicket haul in the innings for Pakistan.Pakistan lost some wickets in quick succession during the chase but Imad Wasim’s unbeaten 49 took them over the line.
