India have won three encounters against England in the World Cup. One of these wins came in the 2003 edition when the two sides met each other in Durban. The Sourav Ganguly-led team batted first and managed to score 250 for 9 in 50 overs. Rahu Dravid top-scored with 62 with Sachin Tendulkar notched up a 50.
But the real hero of this match was Ashish Nehra whose scintillating bowling display helped India thump England by 82 runs.
Nehra returned with a six-wicket haul in the innings. His dismissals included Michael Vaughan, Nasser Hussain, Alec Stewart, Paul Collingwood, Craige White and Ronnie Irani. India ended the campaign as the runners-up after losing the final to Australia.
