South Africa fast bowler Dale Steyn has been ruled out of the World Cup due to shoulder injury. Steyn had earlier missed the two opening games. “He was probably about 60 percent when the squad was picked,” du Plessis had said on the eve of the England game.
Left-arm seamer Beuran Hendricks has been named as a replacement.
South Africa have lost both their opening games. They began the campaign against England and suffered a defeat by 104 runs and later lost to Bangladesh by 2 runs.
They will next play India on Wednesday in Southampton.
