Bangladesh U19 World Cup win over India in the final saw an ugly turn when the “champion side” poked Indian counterparts and indulged in heated arguments with them.

Bangladesh pacer Shoriful Islam went a step ahead to create more controversy and said that they wanted to give it back to India.

The International Cricket Council (ICC) charged five players, three Bangladeshi and two Indians for breaching the Code of Conduct. Akash Singh and Ravi Bishnoi were the two Indian players who were charged by the ICC.

This is not the first time that a Bangladesh side or a cricketer has tried to instigate controversy with India. This has been done by their senior team as well.

One such instance came in 2016 when India lost the semi-final of the World T20 against West Indies and Bangladesh wicket-keeper batsman Mushfiqur Rahim subsequently mocked The Men in Blue on social media.
