India bowed out of the World Cup 2019 on Wednesday after losing to New Zealand in the semi-final in Manchester. Chasing 240 in rain-hit encounter, India were 5/3 during the course of their chase.
But it isn’t only India’s batting that should be blamed totally but also the efforts put in by Kiwi bowlers.
Trent Boult perfectly set up Virat Kohli in the third over. The left-arm bowler moved the ball away from Kohli as the skipper tried to go through the covers but missed the shot completely. The second one was just outside the off-stump that Kohli it dabbed towards the point.

The third came into him as Boult pitched this one up. Kohli just pushed this one towards the square leg with soft hands. The fourth and the final one again came back into him. The right-hander shuffled and tried to go for a glance but missed the stroke completely. He was trapped in front of the stumps and the umpire raised his finger after the LBW appeal. Kohli was out for 1.
The skipper went for the DRS but he was gone with Umpire’s Call. This is the second consecutive time that India were eliminated in a semi-final in the World Cup while New Zealand made it to their second final on the trot.
