Though, the sports personalitie missed action on the field, they have been earning some good amount off it through Instagram sponsered posts.
India skipper Virat Kohli added another feather to his hat when he was included in the list of top 10 highest-earning athletes on Instagram during lockdown. Kohli’s total earnings is 379,294 pounds through his sponsored posts, raking up 126,431 pounds per post.
Portugal and Juventus footballer Cristiano Ronaldo is at the helm of the list with an estimated earning of 1.8 million pounds and is followed by Barcelone star Lionel Messi and PSG player Neymar respectively. Messi has earnings of 1.2 million and while Neymar has earned 1.1 million.
The other sportsmen in this lost are Shaquille O’Neal and (583,628 pounds) former England football captain David Bekham (405,359 pounds).
Swedish footballer Zlatan Ibrahimovic (184,413 pounds), former NBA player Dwayne Wade (143,146), Brazillian footballer Dani Alves (133,694) and boxer Anthony Joshua (121,500) are the other sports stars in the list.
Earlier, Kohli became the only cricketer to feature in the Top 100 list of richest sports stars according to a tally released by Forbes.
