Former South Africa captain and RCB batsman AB de Villiers has put his weight behind India skipper Virat Kohli and said that the RCB captain is more relaible than him.

De Villiers who was in Conversation with Harsha Bhogle on a Cricbuzz show on Wednesday said that he likes to attack early on in the innings while Kohli is someone who should bat for a longer time.

“We take on different bowlers. I personally like to attack a little earlier, not to show weakness early on. I am earlier to the trigger. I want the bowlers to feel early on that it will be trouble if I’m allowed to bat for 5 overs,” De Villiers told Harsha Bhogle.

The two have played for RCb for a very long time and share a good bond. Kohli has always praised De Villiers’ batting style while the South African too has appreciated Kohli.

The two cricketers have been clinical with their batting. They have put two 200+ partnerships in IPL while nine 100+ for RCB in 69 innings. Kohli scored a record-breaking 973 runs in one season during the 2016 edition including four tons. The RCB captain has notched up a atotal of five centuries in the IPL.
