Former Pakistan batsman Aamer Sohail has put weight behind Virat Kohli and said that the Indian skipper is a ‘great player’.
Sohail went on to compare Kohli to former Pakistan captain Jave Miandad and talked about the similarity that the two players have. The former batsman said that Kohli’s work ethics has brought a lot of change in the team’s mind set and has been helpful for Indian cricket.
“The most important point for me is that big players break out,” he said.
Kohli has been leading India across all the formats now and has tasted decent success so far. India emerged victorious in the Tour Down Under while had a decent run in South Africa as well.
The right-handed batsman himself has been in pretty good touch with the bat apart from his last tour to New Zealand. Kohli became the first Indian batsman to score 7 double centuries in Test cricket while holds the record for the fastest ODI ton for India.
He scored a hundred in 52 balls against Australia.
