The Indian cricket team found a very enthusiastic fan in 87-year-old Charulata Patel in the stands during their clash against Bangladesh on Tuesday. Wheelchair-bound Patel caught the eyes of the internet as well as captain Virat Kohli and deputy Rohit Sharma who later greeted her after the match and seek her blessings.
In an interaction with “TIMES NOW”, she said, “Virat came to meet me after the match. He touched my feet and I gave him my blessings,” Patel told ‘Times Now’.
Later, in a tweet, Kohli thanked the 87-year-old and other fans for their passion for Indian cricket team.
Also would like to thank all our fans for all the love & support & especially Charulata Patel ji. She’s 87 and probably one of the most passionate & dedicated fans I’ve ever seen. Age is just a number, passion takes you leaps & bounds. With her blessings, on to the next one. ???????????? pic.twitter.com/XHII8zw1F2
