Botanic Gardens Rangers defeated Dark View Explorers by 16 runs in the 7th match of Vincy Premier T10 league played at Arnos Vale Sporting Complex, St Vincent on Sunday.

Dark View Explorers captain Lindon James won the toss and decided to field first. After a decent first over by Darius Martin, Atticus Browne hit a boundary in the 2nd over. Kemran Strough got the breakthrough for Explorers side as he dismissed Browne for 10.

Hyron Shallow showed his class taking 18 runs off Shammon Hooper which helped Botanic Gardens increase the rate of scoring.
Shallow and Currency made the batting look easy keeping the scoreboard ticking. Sealron Willliaams got the breakthrough dismissing Shallow for 38. Shallow and Currency added 58 runs for the 2nd wicket.

Willliaams dismissed Kevin Abhram off the very next ball. Greaves struck for Explorers side getting the wicket of Currency for 31 off 18 balls. Kenneth Dember and Kesrick Williams hit quickfire cameos to help Botanic Gardens post 104 for 4 in 10 overs.

Chasing 105 runs to win, after hitting 9 runs, Lindon James got out for 7 runs in the first over. Deron Greaves looked in fine touch taking on Botanic Gardens bowlers. Kensley Joseph, Shammon Hooper, Andrew Thomas went cheaply for Explorers. Deron Greaves played with positive intent and kept the Explorers in the hunt. With 37 runs required to win from 12 balls, Kesrick Williams took the wicket of Greaves after being hit for a six. It was a tough ask for the lower order batsmen for Explorers.

Botanic Gardens won the match by 16 runs to register their 2nd successive win. Gardens defeated Divers in yesterday’s match. This was their second successive loss for Dark View Explorers. The tournament has become interesting with the win by Rangers.

Botanic Gardens Rangers 104 for 4 in 10 overs ( Hyron Shallow 38, Romel Currency 31, Sealron Willliams 2/18) beat Dark View Explorers 88 for 5 in 10 overs ( Deron Greaves 44, Kesrick Williams 2/20) by 16 runs.
