Maharashtra opener Ruturaj Gaikwad on Thursday scored his second consecutive century against Chhattisgarh in the ongoing Vijay Hazare Trophy 2021-22 in Rajkot. Earlier, on Wednesday, the right-handed batsman played an innings of 136 runs to help his team win by five wickets against Madhya Pradesh.

He has been Ajay in the current Vijay Hazare Trophy. Chasing 329 against Madhya Pradesh, he scored 136 runs in 112 balls. His team won this match by five wickets. Ruturaj, who performed brilliantly in the Vijay Hazare Trophy, is heading Maharashtra.

Ruturaj is currently seen in excellent form. While playing for Chennai Super Kings in IPL 2021, Gaikwad became the youngest player in Indian Premier League history to finish the season with the Orange Cap.
