Siddhesh Veer replaced Divyansh Joshi for the U19 World Cup being held in South Africa after he sustained a shoulder injury during the one-day series against South Africa.
“India U19 all-rounder Divyansh Joshi has been ruled out of the upcoming World Cup following an injury sustained in the first match,” the BCCI stated in a media release on Friday (January 10).
The U19 World Cup had a surprising start after South Africa were beaten by Afghanistan in their opening match. India play their first match on January 19 against Sri Lanka.
