Australia took an unassailable 2-0 lead in the three-match Test series against New Zealand after beating the visitors by 247 runs at MCG on Sunday. Chasing a mammoth 447, Kane Williamson’s troops were bundled out for 240.

Tom Blundell was the pick among the batting line-up after he scored a gutsy 121 before getting out to Marnus Labuschagne.

For Australia, it was Nathan Lyon who scalped a four-wicket haul while James Pattinson picked a three-for.
