Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput committed suicide on Sunday at his house in Bandra. Sushant who was just 34 was going through depression and was on medicines for quite sometime.
He began his Bollywood career from the film ‘Kai Po Che‘ and had some successful time in the industry. But he left a huge mark after playing MS Dhoni’s role in his biopic ‘MS Dhoni-The untold story‘. While Sushant played Dhoni in the film, Kiara Advani played his wife Sakshi’s role and Disha Patani played the character of the former captain’s girlfriend who lost her life in a car accident.
Sushant’s performance in the film was appreciated by one and all. Dhoni’s coach Keshav Banarjee talked about Sushant’s focus towards his work and how the actor was after him to lear the famous ‘Helicopter shot’. Dhoni is famous for this stroke. He has often used it against the yorker deliveries and struck them out of the park.
‘Sushant always used to tell me, ‘dada Dhoni ka helicopter shot sikha do na (please teach me how to play the helicopter shot)’.
“Sushant was after me, the way Mahi used to play it, what were his facial expressions. He was so focussed. Single-minded determination. That’s why it came out so well. You could not tell it was not Dhoni. Today I have only memories, and I really am in utter shock,” he said.
Sushant’s last Bollywood flick was ‘Chhichore’ opposite Shhraddha Kapoor also starring Varun Sharma.
