The South African batting line-up might have not lived up to the mark in the first Test against England in Centurion but their bowling attack especially Vernon Philander has been phenomenal so far in this match.

Philander scalped a four-wicket haul while Kagiso Rabada picked three as the Proteas bundled out England for 181 in reply to 284.

Joe Denly top-scored with 50 but no other English batsman showed resistance. England reduced South Africa to 29/3 and the hosts were 72/4 when the stumps were called with Rassie van der Dussen and Anrich Nortje at the crease. They lead by 175.
