India and Punjab batsman Shubman Gill has been fined 100 percent match fee for showing dissent. Gill was given out by the on-field umpires during the Ranji Trophy match between Delhi and Punjab in Mohali and the right-handed batsman subsequently argued with the officials and stayed at the crease.
The decision was eventually overturned. Delhi batsman Dhruv Shorey was also fined 50 percent of his fees from the match “for violating the BCCI’s code of conduct with gross misbehavior.”
