Shoaib Akhtar and Katrina Kaif.

Akhtar while speaking to Ramiz Raja in a talk show told that Bollywood actress Katrina Kaif had once said that it’s very difficult to keep him and Salman Khan out of controversies.

Akhtar played three matches for the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) under Sourav Ganguly’s captaincy. The franchise is co-owned by Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan.

The fast bowler also talked about his relations with SRK and Salman and how friendly are the two actors have been with him. Adding to this, Akhtar who clocked the fastest ball in the history of cricket revealed that he was offered a role in the movie Gangster by Mahesh Bhatt. But eventually, things didn’t work out.

Bhatt casted Emraan Hashmi, Shiney Ahuja and Kangana Ranaut in the flick later on.

Shaoib has been in the headlines for quite some time these days. He faced a backlash on social media after proposing a bilateral tie between India and Pakistan to raise funds for the fight against the COVID-19 outburst.

He recently made another statement after showing interest to be India’s bowling coach. “I will definitely. My job is to spread knowledge. What I have learned is knowledge and I will spread it,” Akhtar said.

One of the fastest bowlers to have played the game, he added, “I will produce more aggressive, fast and more talkative bowlers than the current ones who will tell-off the batsmen in a way that you will enjoy a lot.”
