Former Pakistan all-rounder Shahid Afridi has tested positive for Coronavirus. Afridi took to Twitter and confirmed the news himself.
I’ve been feeling unwell since Thursday; my body had been aching badly. I’ve been tested and unfortunately I’m covid positive. Need prayers for a speedy recovery, InshaAllah #COVID19 #pandemic #hopenotout #staysafe #stayhome— Shahid Afridi (@SAfridiOfficial) June 13, 2020
Afridi is the third Pakistan cricketer who has tested positive for COVID-19. Earlier, Taufeeq Umar said he was feeling a bit sick, and on being tested on Monday 25 may he was declared Corona positive, based on his test report. He said his symptoms were not that severe and requested his friends and well wishers to pray for his speedy recovery.
Umar is the second Pakistani cricketer to test positive for Coronavirus, Zafar Sarfraz a 50-year-old former first-class cricketer passed away due to Corona last month.
