Legendary batsman Sachin Tendulkar is associated with UNICEF Nepal’s ‘Bat for Brain Development’ campaign and for this, he is on a three-day tour to create awareness. During his tour he played matches with the women’s team of Nepal.

In this match, Sachin captained one team and the captain of the other team was former captain of Nepal National Team Vinod Das. First Vinod’s team scored 45 runs in 8 overs. In response to which Sachin team easily achieved the goal.

Apart from this, he also saw the Pashupatinath temple. Nepal’s Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli met Sachin Tendulkar. Expressing happiness over meeting Sachin in his tweet, Oli wrote that he was very happy to meet the Goodwill Ambassador of Unicef and the famous cricketer Sachin Tendulkar. Oli said that Sachin appreciated the efforts being made by Nepal for the rights and welfare of children.

In response, Sachin said that Nepal PM met him despite health problems and thanked him for it. Sachin also wished to improve Oli’s health. Sachin also said that he was overwhelmed by the love he got from Nepal. Sachin said that the way the lamp presented by the PM spreads the light, there is light, happiness and prosperity throughout the world.

Sachin has been the brand ambassador of UNICEF since he retired from cricket since November 2013. Since then, Sachin has been continuously working for the awareness of sports among children. They are particularly active for the empowerment of girls.
