In a cricket connected show, former Indian opener Kris Srikanth said that I would rate Rohit Sharma as one of the greatest ODI openers in world cricket. The greatest quality about him is that he for those big daddy centuries and double centuries which is amazing.
“In a one-day match, you will go 150, 180, 200, just imagine where you are going to take the team to, that’s the greatness about Rohit,” said the 60-year-old Srikkanth, who played 43 Tests and 146 ODIs between 1981 and 1992.
Rohit Sharma has shown tremendous consistency in ODIs. He has played so far 224 ODIs ( 217 innings) and scored 9115 runs with an amazing average of 49.27. In his ODI career, the opener has scored 29 centuries and 43 half-centuries. Rohit has been the backbone of Indian batting line up for quite a long time.
He is the only batsman in T20I cricket to score a record-breaking 4 centuries. His consistency in the T20I format has been immense.
