Gautam Gambhir, Rajat Bhatia and Virat Kohli.

The altercations on the cricket field are common. The players do get involved in heated arguments and sledging but move on. While the players don’t really talk about the on-field scenes, the fans remember them for a very long time.

Something similar happened during the 2013 IPL when RCB were up against KKR. RCB skipper Virat Kohli had just lost his wicket. KKR skipper Gautam Gambhir too was charged up and this resulted in a heated argument between the two.

The scenes could have got worse but their then Delhi teammate Rajat Bhatia who was playing for KKR came in between and settled things up.

Bhatia while talking to Asianet Newsable opened about the incident and said, “That is something which happened when two aggressive captains played and they always want to give their best and win for their respective teams.”

All the three players have played for Delhi at the state level. It was also said that the two cricketers had dinner together at the team hotel after the incident. Well, there have been a number of incidents like these.

Former India opener Gambhir too talked about the incident. “When two captains compete, there is aggression and passion on the field but it shouldn’t be carried out of the field,” he said while talking to Lallantop.

Talking about the game, RCB won that match by 8 wickets after Chris Gayle struck a 50-ball 85. Kohli on the other side scored 35 before getting out.
