Fast bowler Peter Siddle has been called for the Boxing Day Test against New Zealand following an injury to Josh Hazlewood. Australia lead the three-match Test series 1-0 after a comfortable 296-run win.
While Siddle has found himself a place in the Test team, Marnus Labuschagne’s brilliant form with the bat has earned him the ODI call. Labuschagne has been included in the ODI squad that will tour India.
“Adam Zampa and his growing combination with (Ashton) Agar is something the selectors want to see more of, while Nathan Lyon remains in the one-day squad selection frame,” Hohns said.
Head coach Justin Langer will take a small break and will not travel with the team to India. Assistant coach Andrew McDonald will lead the side.
Australia squad for India tour: Aaron Finch (captain), Sean Abbott, Ashton Agar, Alex Carey, Pat Cummins, Peter Handscomb, Josh Hazlewood, Marnus Labuschagne, Kane Richardson, Steven Smith, Mitchell Starc, Ashton Turner, David Warner, Adam Zampa
