Former Pakistan fast bowler Shoaib Akhtar is in trouble once again. A defamation suit has been filed against him by PCB legal advisor Tafazzul Rizvi. Akhtar has been slapped with the suite for allegedly using inappropriate comments against Rizvi in a YouTube show.

“The language used by Akhtar was highly inappropriate and disrespectful, and cannot be condoned in any civilised society.”

Earlier, Akhtar faced some backlash on social media after he proposed a bilateral tie between India and Pakistan to generate money amid the COVID-19 breakdown. While talking to PTI, Akhtar has said if India can make 10000 ventilators for them, Pakistan would never forget the gesture. “If India can make 10,000 ventilators for us, Pakistan will remember this gesture forever.”

Umar Akmal’s ban


Umar Akmal has been slapped with a three-year ban from all forms of the game by the ICC on corruption charges. Akmal has been pleaded guilty for not reporting of spot-fixing offers during the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2020. The charges that Akmal has been charged with come under Article 2.4.4 of the Board’s Anti-Corruption Code.

The world has come to a standstill after the lockdown due to coronavirus outburst. The Indian Premier League (IPL) that was scheduled to begin in March-end was initially postponed till April before eventually getting postponed indefinitely.
