Former India all-rounder Yuvraj Singh has made yet another bold statement and said that the senior players were more disciplined that the current set of players.
“I felt when I came into the team or when you (Rohit) came into the team. Our seniors were very disciplined,” Yuvraj said while talking to Rohit Sharma in an Instagram chat. Rohit and Yuvraj have played together for India in the 2007 World T20 and for Mumbai Indians in the Indian Premier League (IPL).
The former left-handed batsman also talked about how a player should focus on maintaining his image after being a part of the Indian setup. Adding to this Yuvraj said that no other player than captain Virat Kohli and his deputy Rohit have been playing all the formats. No player is really consistent.
The left-handed player added that the yougsters are not willing to play the longer format of the game.
Yuvraj also made a mention of Rishabh Pant as the wicket-keeper batsman has been a lot of scrutiny for his incosistent performances. “I try to spend more time with Rishabh Pant. Lately he has been under a lot of scrutiny,” he said.
Yuvraj was a part of 304 ODIs for India and scored over 8000 runs while picked 111 wickets. In the shorter format, the left-handed batsman donned the Indian jersey in 58 games scoring 1177 runs and picking 28 wickets.
