India bowler Deepak Chahar has been ruled out of the third ODI against West Indies and Navdeep Saini has been called-in as the replacement.
“The All-India Senior Selection Committee has named Navdeep Saini as replacement for the injured Deepak Chahar,” the BCCI said in a release on Thursday.
India leveled the series on Wednesday after beating the visitors by 107 runs. The hosts posted a mammoth 387/5 in 50 overs after riding on tons from Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul and a late surge from Shreyas Oyer and Rishabh Pant.
India’s batting master-class was followed by some brilliant bowling from Mohammed Shami and Kuldeep Yadav. Both the bowlers picked up three wickets apiece. Kuldeep became the first Indian to pick the second hattrick in international cricket.
