Pakistan batsman Nasir Jamshed has been sentenced for 17 months for his involvement in the spot-fixing scandal in the PSL. The left-handed batsman was arrested along with Yousef Anwar and Mohammed Ijaz after an investigation was conducted by the National Crime Agency (NCA).

The batsman was found guilty of under performing and encouraging players for spot-fix. Nasir was given a sum of GBP 30,000 for under performing during the match between Islamabad United and Peshawar Zalmi in Dubai in February 2018.

Earlier, Jamshed was banned from cricket for 10 years by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB). He has played 2 Tests, 48 ODIs and 18 T20Is for Pakistan.
