Naseem as a 16 year old made his debut against Australia at Brisbane. Though he did not get many wickets, 20overs 1 maiden 1 wicket for 68 runs in the only innings Australia batted.

But he gave ample proof of his huge talent as a genuine fast bowler for the future .Naseem took quick strides in international cricket by claiming a hat trick and a spell of 5 wickets in an innings in matches against SriLanka in Karachi Test and a hat trick versus Bangladesh at home, achieving the honour to be the youngest player to take a hat trick in international cricket.

Recently during a question and answer session with press and Fans he was asked to name three batsmen in the world whom he would like to include as his scalps in a hat trick. Naseem picked English Captain Joe Root, Indias Rohit Sharma, and Australian Run Machine Steve Smith.

He picked Root due to his consistency and the important position he holds in the English batting line up.

Rohit Sharma because he is in great form dismantling all bowling attacks in the world cup 2019, and becoming the first batsman in the History to score 5 centuries in one edition of the tournament.

Steve Smiths wicket he said is every bowlers dream because Smith has taken consistency in batting to a whole new level, he scored 774 runs in the last Ashes series in England ,and almost playing a lone hand in Australia drawing the series and retaining the Ashes.

Surprisingly he left out Star INDIAN Batsman Viraat Kohli, from his list. In a recent interview he haad said he doesn’t fear the Indian skipper, and is looking forward to playing against him in future.
