A number of speculations had come into the picture after former skipper MS Dhoni was not picked for the limited-overs fixtures in West Indies and the T20I series against South Africa. But according to a report in The Indian Express, the right-handed batsman had been out of the side with injuries.

Dhoni had picked a back niggle before the World Cup 2019 while injured his wrist during the tournament. The wicket-keeper batsman though will be fully fit by November, BCCI sources told The Indian Express.

“It’s bad. How bad it is, I don’t know,” he told during the post-match presentation.
