India head coach Ravi Shastri has backed former skipper MS Dhoni and said that he has all the “right” to take a decision on his retirement.
In an interview to Times of India, Shastri said, “Half the guys commenting on MS Dhoni can’t even tie their shoelaces. Look at what he’s achieved for the country.”
Dhoni last played for India against New Zealand in the World Cup 2019 semi-final that The Men in Blue lost. The former skipper has led India to World T20 2007, 2011 World Cup and 2013 Champions Trophy triumph and is rated as one of the most successful captains in the history of Indian cricket.
