Australia fast bowler Micthell Starc will once again miss the IPL after he removed his name from the auctions scheduled to take place on December 19 in Kolkata. Starc has mentioned the reason that he wants to focus more on red-ball cricket.
The left-handed fast bowler has played for RCB in 2015 while was signed by KKR in 2018 but was later sidelined due to injury. Meanwhile, Glenn Maxwell and Chris Lynn are among seven players who have put their names into the auction pool.
As many 971 players have registered for the upcoming IPL 2020 auctions scheduled to take place on December 19 in Kolkata. Out of these 971, 713 are Indians while 258 are overseas players. There are 73 vacant spots across the eight teams.
Among the Indian players who have made the registrations include 19 capped and 634 uncapped and 60 players who are yet to make India debut but have at least played 1 IPL match.
The franchises now need to submit their shortlist from the pool of registered players before the 5 PM IST deadline on December 9.
