Australia all-rounder Mitchel Marsh injured himself on Sunday not on the cricket field but off it. Marsh expressed his frustration of getting out for 53 while playing for Western Australia against Tasmania and subsequently punched his hand against the wall.
The scans showed that he had fractured his hand and could be out of action for six weeks which means he might have to miss the first Test of the two-match series against Pakistan scheduled to begin from November 21.
“It certainly will be an isolated incident… it won’t be happening again. It’s a good lesson for me, hopefully, it’s a good lesson for other people as well,” Marsh told reporters.
