India opener Mayank Agarwal might have found it difficult to break into the side but he seems to be the go-to man for the management. After tasting some success in Test cricket, Mayank is likely to replace Shikhar Dhawan for the ODIs against West Indies.

Dhawan was initially named in the T20I and ODI squads for West Indies series but was later ruled out after he failed to recover from his knee injury. Sanju Samson was called-in as the replacement for the T20Is.

“The selection committee has recommended Mayank’s name as Shikhar’s replacement after consultation with the team management,” a senior BCCI source told PTI on conditions of anonymity.
