Bengal cricketer Manoj Tiwary took a dig at Pakistan cricketers as he shared some statements made by the players. In one of the pictures, Shoaib Akhtar is commenting on the ‘Monkey-Gate incident’ that happened between Harbhajan Singh and Andrew Symonds while in the other the former fast bowler is seen criticising BCCI after the World T20 was postponed.
In another picture posted, former skipper Salman Butt is criticisng Jofra Archer for “breaking the rules”. “Rules are rules, Jofra Archer should not have brokes them,” he says.
Butt was himself banned for match-fixing allegations. Tiwary shared the pictures on his Instagram account and captioned, “Just look at these statements. Damn So much of jealousy. Salman butt, u don’t have the right to speak on rules nd regulations ???? I just wish God will bless them wit some sense ????”
Earlier, the World T20 was postponed that gave BCCI a room for hosting the IPL. The cash-rich league will now be held in UAE between September and November.
This won’t be the first time when IPL is being held outside the country. The 2009 and 2014 editions too took place away from the country.
The 2009 IPL was held in South Africa while the first phase of the tournament was held in UAE in 2014.
