Former India captain Kapil Dev has made a bold statement about MS Dhoni’s return to the national side. Kapil who led India to their first-ever World Cup win in 1983 said that a player can’t really return to international cricket after taking such a long break.
“If you haven’t played cricket for so long then I don’t think you can come back from anywhere,” Kapil told ABP News.
Dhoni has been put of action since India’s exit from World Cup 2019 after they lost to New Zealand in the semi-final of the tournament. MS led India to their second World Cup win in 2011 and has been capped 90 times in Tests, 350 times in ODIs and has played 98 T20Is for the country.
