Veteran opener Rohit Sharma has been appointed as the captain of India’s ODI and T20 team.
Earlier, the command of the team with blue jersey was in the hands of Virat Kohli. However, he will continue to lead the red-ball team.
According to the reports, the board had given 48 hours to Kohli to voluntarily leave the ODI captaincy, but after Kohli did not agree, the BCCI handed over the responsibility of the ODI to the Hitman. Kohli had earlier announced that he would step down as the captain of the T20 format. In such a situation, after becoming the captain of Rohit, there is a ruckus in the cricket world. Meanwhile, Rohit Sharma has expressed a big reaction and said that all the things outside are useless.
BCCI has shared a video from its official Twitter account, in which Rohit Sharma is seen giving an interview.
Rohit said, “He will not be affected by outside noise, when you are playing cricket for India, the pressure is always high. The pressure will always be there. There will be many people talking about it. It can be positive or negative.
He continued, “For me, personally, it is important to focus on my work as a cricketer and not on what people are talking about, because you can’t control that. “
