Jasprit Bumrah becomes the third Indian bowler to scalp a Test hattrick. Bumrah who was up against West Indies in Jamaica bagged the wickets of Darren Bravo, Shamarah Brooks and Roston Chase on three consecutive deliveries to achieve the feat. Bravo was caught in the slips by KL Rahul while Brooks and Chase were in front of the stumps.
Earlier, only Harbhajan Singh and Irfan Pathan have bagged a hattrick for India in the longest format of the game. Harbhajan did it against Australia in 2001 in Kolkata while Pathan picked a hattrick against Pakistan in 2006.
India had posted a total of 416 runs after Hanuma Vihari scored his maiden Test hundred while Ishant Sharma notched his first half-century. India the lead the series 1-0.
