India defeated West Indies in the second Test in Jamaica by 257 runs to take away the series 2-0. India now have 120 points in the World Test Championship.

Chasing 468, West Indies once again had a poor start to the proceedings as they lost the openers early in the pursuit. Darren Bravo who was looking good was retired hurt after suffering a concussion and was replaced by Jermaine Blackwood who struck 38.

Shamarah Brooks notched up a half-century but no other batsman showed mettle and the hosts were bundled out for 210. Mohammed Shami and Ravindra Jadeja bagged a three-for each in the second innings while Jasprit Bumrah scalped one wicket. Ishant Sharma returned with figures of 2/37.

Earlier, India rode on Bumrah’s hattrick and Hanuma Vihari’s maiden Test ton to take a mammoth first-innings lead of 299 runs while scored 168/4 (D) in the second innings. India had also clinched the T20Is and ODIs series.
