Need to anchor a run-chase? Call jersey number 18, Virat Kohli. Well, it seems that chasing a target of over 300 runs is Kohli’s favourite task on the cricket field and the right-handed batsman repeated the feat against West Indies on Sunday in Cuttack.
India were handed a target of 316 runs by the visitors and the home side did the start the proceedings well. Openers KL Rahul and Rohit Sharma put 122 for the first wicket as both the batsmen scored individual half-centuries.

India then lost a few wickets in the middle overs but the skipper held the innings from one end. Kohli along with Ravindra Jadeja steadied the ship for the side before the captain departed for 85 when the team score read 286.
Jadeja though continued his form with the bat scoring an unbeaten 39 off 31 while Shardul Thakur who came in at number 8 hammered 17* off just 6 deliveries that included a couple of boundaries and a maximum. India won the match by 4 wickets and the series 2-1.
