India ended the first day’s proceedings of the second Test against West Indies at 264/5 in Jamaica with Hanuma Vihari and Rishabh Pant stil at the crease.

After winning the toss, West Indies captain Jason Holder put India into bat and the side responded well as they scalped a couple of early wickets.

But captain Virat Kohli and Mayank Agarwal steadied the ship for India and struck individual half-centuries. Kohli scored 76 before getting back in the pavilion while Agarwal notched up 55.

For West Indies, it was captain Jason Holder who bagged a three-for for his team. India lost wickets in quick succession but Vihari (42*) and Pant (27*) held the innings together.
