India continued their dominance in Pune in the second Test as they ended Day 1 at 273/3 with opener Mayank Agarwal smashing his second ton. After winning the toss, India opted to bat first but lost Rohit Sharma early in the innings.
Later, Cheteshwar Pujara and Agarwal steadied the ship for India. Pujara went on to score 58 before getting dismissed by Kagiso Rabada while Agarwal notched a hundred.
The home side then lost Mayank in the third session but captain Virat Kohli and his deputy Ajinkya Rahane held on to the innings. Kohli ended the day at 63* while Rahane was unbeaten at 18.
