The International Cricket Council has scrapped the boundary count rule and has further said the Super Over will be repeated in case of a tie. England lifted their first-ever World Cup after beating New Zealand in the final at Lord’s earlier this year on the basis of more boundary count.

The release by the ICC on Monday said: “The Super Over as a way to decide results at ICC events will be retained.”
