Cricket is all about emotions and passion. There have been a number of instances where the cricketers have got emotional and cried their hearts out. One such incident happened with the present Indian cricket captain Virat Kohli when he was in his teenage.

Can you imagine somebody of Kohli’s caliber getting rejected from the selection? Yes, it did happen with him during his early days when Virat wasn’t selected for his state team Delhi.

“I felt nothing was working for me when I was not picked for the state team initially. I cried the whole night and asked my coach ‘why did I not get selected’?” he said while speaking in an online class organised by “Unacademy”.

Kohli has been one of the finest players that the Indian team has ever got. He led the U19 team to victory back in 2008 only to become the second Indian to achieve the feat while was a part of the Indian team that won the World Cup in 2011 and played a massive role in the team’s title win in Champions Trophy 2013. He even scored a hundred on World Cup debut against Bangladesh while holds the record for the fastest ton by an Indian.

Kohli smacked a century in 52 balls against Australia. Presently, the Indian skipper has scored more than 11000 runs in ODIs while has notched over 7000 Test runs along with 2794 runs in the T20Is. Moreover, he averages above 50 across all formats while he has struck 70 international tons and five in the IPL. Kohli amassed a total of 973 runs for his franchise RCB in the 2016 edition while also led India in the World Cup 2019. Though, The Men in Blue bowed out of the tournament after losing to New Zealand in the semis.
